Lev Testing - Local Exhaust Ventilation Testing
Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems capture and remove air contaminants at the point they are being produced before they escape into the workplace.
Riverside has a wealth of experience of testing LEV systems and can work with you to ensure that you comply with your requirements under COSHH.
Regulation 9 of the Control of Substances Hazard to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002 (as amended) requires all control measures to reduce exposure to hazardous substances be properly maintained and regularly examined and tested.
Regulation 9 requires LEV systems to be tested at least every 14 months. From experience, many workplaces are using LEV systems which either have not been tested or are not working effectively.
